Tiffany Chao Art Advisory & Appraisal respects the privacy of every collector, estate, and institution we work with. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to share with us. When you submit the inquiry form, we receive your full name, email address, telephone number, the type of inquiry, and the contents of your message, including any details you provide about works of art in your care.
We may also receive limited, anonymous usage information about how visitors use this website, such as pages viewed and general device type. This information does not identify you personally.
How we use your information
Information you provide is used solely to respond to your inquiry, to arrange and conduct consultations, and to prepare appraisals or advisory services you request. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing.
Confidentiality of collections
Discretion is central to our practice. Details about you, your collection, the works you own, and their values are held in strict confidence. We do not publish client names or identifying collection information without your express written consent. Results shown on this website are drawn from public auction records and are presented without identifying private clients.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry and client records only as long as needed to provide our services and to meet professional, legal, and appraisal record-keeping obligations, including those under the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information; however, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to professional record-keeping requirements. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
